Speed Keys

If you prefer to use the keyboard in The CourtRoom Program™ rather than the mouse, you can. The purpose of this topic is to outline the speed keys which are available to you.

    Buttons

There are three kinds of buttons in The CourtRoom Program™. The first kind is what we refer to as a 'lookup button'. This button always appears at the very end of a field. When your cursor is in a field which has a lookup button at the end of it, activate the button by holding down the <Ctrl> and <Enter> keys at the same time.

The second kind of button can appear anywhere on the screen and has a word (or words) on it. There will be an underlined letter in one of those words. To activate the button, hold down the <Ctrl> key while simultaneously touching the letter on your keyboard which corresponds to the letter that is underlined on the button.

The third kind of button can appear anywhere on the screen and only has a number on it. To activate the button, touch the corresponding number on your keyboard.

When two sub-menu items are identified by the same underlined letter, keep touching the corresponding underlined letter on your keyboard until the item you want to access is highlighted and then touch <Enter>.
